Are any of you Obama fans out there starting to feel like Hillary is just having her way with your man? Toughness may not be the most important characteristic to look for in a President, but it is surely something most Americans want to see to some degree, and I’m starting to wonder if Obama is tough enough. Hillary just keeps beating on him day-in and day-out, and he doesn’t seem to be willing to fight back.
The Lord knows that Mrs. Clinton has some baggage in which he could surely find some ammunition, but he seems too cool to fight. He’s making it too easy for those who won’t vote for an elitist, and Hillary has him pinned him into his passive-aggressive corner where she doesn’t even have to take aim – all she has to do is fire away.

I always thought Obama was a pretty effective counter puncher. Not lately though. I think what you'll see in the next week is a phalanx of surrogates lobbing shells into the Clinton camp. We'll see.
Just what is an elitist? Is it a Michigan alum/fan? Is it someone who doesn't fancy a shot of Kessler's with an Iron City chaser? Although I take a back seat to nobody in my disdain for Michigan, I'm not a big fan of Kessler's either. I suspect that people think that Obama looks upon the middle class as some sort of quaint tribe or culture that is so simple that it can be summed up in a general observation regarding religion or guns or sports affiliation. I don't know if any of this is true about Obama but if he gets tagged with this in Ohio and PA in the entire south, he's toast. He be as popular as Adlai Stevenson.
That's a pretty good definition Bird, and Hillary has done such a good job of paining him as an elitist, that the Republicans may not even have to do it in the fall -- if he gets that far. Of course, bowling a 37 and eating egg white omelets in Midwestern diners hasn’t helped him establish his regular guy cred either. Maybe he should go back to smoking in public.
Before you start to believe media spin, remember that no one took Harry S Truman seriously before FDR died. Not even FDR. Truman wasn't even informed of the Manhattan Project. It might be a significant mistake to confuse Obama for Kerry.
November is a long way off. Nobody has a mouth so small that they can't put their foot into it. Hillary has 2 - don't forget Bill's pie hole.
Hillary has challenged Obama to a one on one moderator-free debate in NC. It is probably not a fair fight. So far no word from the Obama camp. Obama needs to hire Bill Clinton as a consultant on dealing with Hillary. She is pummeling him unmercilessly. He appears rather timid now. He still should win easily in NC. If he does not his candidacy is in real trouble.
Hillary's problem in NC is that the people she appealed to in OH and PA are republicans in NC. The south never had the labor unions OH and PA had and the republican partied hoovered these people up in the '80s and '90s. That leaves the democrats with the college communities in Raliegh/Durham and Charlotte as well as the African American community. Not fertile territory for Hillary.
I also think that Indiana is substantially different than OH and PA. 70% of the state is urban and those areas that aren't are republican.
Yes he certainly seems a wimp. Can't understand why he won't mix it up. Don't blame him for not debating, though. She needs it - he does not. I think he should do what she would if she were in the lead which is to ignore the person in second place. One of my customers who was an Asst Secretary of Health and Human whatever it's called under Donna Shalala (no smart remarks)and obviously loved Bill Clinton has completely turned on the Clintons. She should be totally in their camp but is so irate (aren't we all) at their treatment of Obama she will vote for McCain. She said she is not alone among members of the Clinton Administration. Sadly that feeling among many will not be enough to overcome the almost universal feeling that he cannot win. He is not a fighter. It is sad to realize that. And we will have lost a new generation of voters who will be so turned off that their candidate was denied the nomination.
