It feels like...

...the whole world is holding its collective breath today.

Could not agree more. I voted around 7:30 in communist Northern Viginia and there was real excitement at the polls. Most people seemed very energized.
The turnout is heavy. Southern Virginia, or real Virginia, is experiencing rain all day. With the enthusiasm quotient much lower for McCain, the rain probably favors Obama and the Democrats.
Then again, if you are defending your country from a black muslim terrorist, you'd think rain wouldn't keep you from the polls.

Virginia, isn't that where they teach the Civil War as the war of Northern Agression? I here the republican gals from Virginia are"fast"The polls were unusually busy here in Warren.I heard an estimate for Ohio at 80% turnout. That would be a great trend to see nation wide. I agree I'm becoming a blue bloated election day junkie waiting to exhale and move on...

VA and SC where we were taught about Northern Agression. Mostly we simply refer to 'the recent unpleasantness'. I realize nobody cares about MA but lines around the block, often twice around, in all the precincts around my neighborhood. And because I'm in a diverse 'hood I can tell you about all the kids just periodically shouting "O-bama" (in the Oprah fashion). They're excited. I'm hysterical and still expecting/counting on the worst! And, yes, it's a combination tailgate party, trepidation and a collective holding of breath. Yikes. It's almost 7pm!

Anyone hosting or attending a party tonight?

Paranoid to the bitter end eh Fenway? you probably need some company the most. stay on low floors.

Since all politics are local, I am most concerned about the legalization of prostitution (don't tell Gaga)and renaming the sewage treatment plant after GWB.

I'm a Sox fan. I always expect the worst. Also, I've refreshed 538.com a thousand times in the last hour.

I was listening to an interview today of Joan Rivers.

I am a huge fan of hers and saw her recently and she killed.

She is a big BO fan. She said she met a guy who was way up in the demo party and she claimed that guy said BO was a light wieght.

At 8:30pm edt it looks as BO is in charge.

Blogmaster I just hope your insight that BO is a posser is wrong.

On a final note, fistinyorface is too funny!

oh wow, an unsourced quote from an aquatance of no less a political heavyweight than Joan Rivers. got to be true then.
you'll note that i changed my tune since making that comment (which i believe was a worry rather than a pronouncement).

come on now dont go sacrastic... you are winning....now is not the time to call for a time out when you are up 49-10 as FL did this week against GA.

Be nice....I was just telling of an interview I heard AND it was in responce to your hesitations.

Lizzie Dole is out -- I'm deliriously happy!

I'm looking forward to my marginal gift from DB --
OB with 296 is solid.

Fox just gave Ohio to Obama. exit polls showed 65% of first time voters voting BO. doesn't bode well for the long term health of the GOP.

Ohio is a bitter pill for the GOP. But the East Coast has been choking on GWB for 7.5 years. To all those who voted for him in 2 elections and abetted him putting his foot on my back, the shoe is just about on the other foot! With skill and luck, Obama will prove to be good for those who oppose him as well as his supporters.

dmj, if you are concerned about the prostitution ballot in CA, you cannot imagine how surprised the truckers are about the prostitutes working the west side of Manhattan when some discover, a little too late, unexpected equipment.

Fox just gave Virginia to Obama. it starting to look like a rout. Fenway -- you can turn in now.

Well, it's been quite a night.

Will bigoted America come to grips with the notion that a black man can rise to the top without entitlement?

Anonymous said...

I have to admit, that was one hell of a good acceptence speech.

Anonymous said...

Couldn't stay up for the acceptance speech but expect nothing less than inspriational from Obama. Only in America could this happen.

BTW norther VA, the communist part, is more like Ct. than anything else.
