So hundreds of thousands of voters have to go pound sand because a few professional pols broke some rules that nobody but them cared about? Seems unreasonable to me. Of course, I'm not allowed to vote in primaries because I won't join one of their clubs, so I guess it's just more democracy in action.
Move to VA big boy. You don't register by party here and you can vote in the whig primary if you want to. Although the republican party here tried require that if you voted in republican primary you promised to support the republican in the general election. It didn't go anywhere because of a little something we like to call the constitution.
I do have some sympathy for the FL and MI voters but not much. The primary rules were confusing but they were okay with everybody before they started the primary. Don't complain when they don't work to your advantage. You're not 11 years old.
Yes, Florida and Michigan. Isn't a coincidence how both states start with the letter M, except Florida? And is it just a coincidence that both state grow oranges, except for Michigan? I think the proper thing to do is to appoint me Emperor of the US and I can make d'blank my trusted Minister of Fear and Truth. Then we could conduct show trials to root out why these 2 states would even dare to challenge NH and IA for the kickoff spotlight.
How about a novel idea? All primaries be held on the same day. Up until that day, the candidates could spend one evening a week asking each other questions on a specific topic.

Florida and Michigan broke the rules. They knew when they leap-frogged their primaries ahead their delegations would not be seated. Nuf Sed.

Florida (maybe) and Michigan (for sure) are probably my two least favorite states, so I'm not losing sleep over this one.
