3 things on TV I'm sick of

  1. Sex in the City. Enough. Please. I didn't watch the TV show and I'm not going to the movie no matter how many promotional tie-ins and SJP interviews I'm subjected to.
  2. Gas prices. They went up yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that. They're probably going to go up again tomorrow. When they go down -- then it will be a story. Until then there is nothing more to say so shut up.
  3. Scott McClelland's book. It's only been out 24 hours but every person in America who ever voted has already been interviewed for their opinion on it. Apparently there is nothing in it we didn't already know about Bush, Cheney, Rove, et al so let's just move on.

Dennis, this is why I don't watch TV anymore and instead pick up a few headlines on the net which almost always tell the whole story and then dive into the wonderful world of fiction (created before cable was ubiquitous)

I haven't seen enough hooplah about Sex in the City. Could be a NYC thing. I do think that SJP is a horse faced no-talent. But that's just me.

I don't ever tire of the Bush whitehouse getting what it deserves. I just wish it could be more.

I pretty tired of Hillary Clinton. This time next week we may be treated to a graceful exit although I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm also pretty tired of McCain's maverick act.

Sex in the City - Can't get enough!!

Gas prices - they're NEVER going down.

Scottie's book - No, sorry, not ready to move on. This is a book by an insider and buddy of Bush, not a John Dean, David Corn or Michael Moore hatchet job.

I know Denny, you said there was nothing more to talk about regarding gas prices, but I thought Tom Friedman's column saying $4 gas is what we need was an interesting perspective. As he points out, it's probably not a position Obama will take to the electorate.

1. I will see Sex at least five times - with a different group each time. It will be fabulous each time.

2. Gas needs to be $5/gallon. Even in LA they're now taking public transportation.

3. I will watch and listen to every mo of the Scott Mc imbroglio. And enjoy every one. Those awful people deserve every embarrassing moment that's about to come their way.

4. Every time I start to go soft on HRC and say, if by some chance she gets the nom, she does something so odious I wonder how she can get up in the morning. Ditto on her husband who I used to love.

5. Yah, McCain - Birdman's right - it is all an act.

Go Cs!

Boy, am I ever sick of caviar, $300 bottles of wine and winning at poker...

Actually, has anyone else noticed that instead of getting nickeled and dimed, we are now getting hundreded and thousanded? Is it just New York City or has the dollar shrunk?

BTW, SJP is a Ohio girl: Cincinnati.

1. I hope you all see SITC 5 times and take 5 friends; it will be great for my 401-k
2. I wish TV would do something Friedman-like on gas prices. What I'm sick of is "tips on dealing with high gas prices" like "take the bus" and "buy a smaller car." Duh.
3. Careful what you wish for. They'll ride this horse until even the biggest Bush-haters cry "uncle!"

I wish to remain anonymous for obvious reason but it is not "Sex In The City" it's "Sex And The City" because NYC is a big part of the show.

Your reason for remaining anonymous is not obvious to me, but thanks for that clarification.

Just saw SATC. Fabulous. Went by in a flash. Can't wait to see it again. It's a phenomenon. Bet it'll play a good part of the summer to big crowds.

Nah, I never get tired of monitoring gas prices. Probably because I've seen them go down often enough.
